Introducing Dylan Kerfoot-Robson
I raced the first Mountain Bike XCO World Cup in Albstadt Germany. This was my first World Cup and after starting 118th I finished 88th. It showed me that this is what I want to do; I want to win these events and become the fastest mountain biker in the world.
I also raced the final round of last year’s World Cup in Hafjell, Norway, I came away with a 34th place. I would have been inside the top 30 if it wasn’t for a puncture which meant I had to run half the lap, although I am not disappointed by this result as it is very promising for next year and shows how much I have come on during the course of just one season
I have high expectations for next season which is why I have contacted Haibike, as you have one of the fastest and lightest bikes on the World Cup circuit in the form of the Greed Team 29. I aim to win both the British Championships and the British Series which I think are both realistic goals, as this year I was the first under 17 in the under 18 category in both of these competitions. I also hope to ride as many rounds of the World Junior Series as I can, and finish on the podium for at least one round
My name is Dylan Kerfoot-Robson and I am a 17 year old mountain bike racer from North Wales. I have raced bikes for at least 10 years now, from road to mountain bike, cyclocross and once on the track. I have ridden for both Wales and Great Britain on the mountain bike, and I’m often called up to ride on the road for Wales. I have just been re-selected on to the British Cycling Olympic Development Programme and I’m the only 17 year old on the MTB team, the ultimate goal of this programme is to provide Great Britain with Olympic XCO gold medals.
