Haibike brings 2014 road and mountain bike line up to NEC Cycle Show

This September’s NEC Cycle Show will give UK cycle fans their first chance to see our new Haibike 2014 range up close and first hand.

Previewed earlier this year at industry and media only shows in the UK, Germany and the USA, this weekend’s show gives you the chance to see our new and hotly-anticipated lines packed with pioneering bike technology.

An all-new Heet range sees a selection of 27.5” and 29” models based around a newly developed high modulus carbon chassis. Featuring the E:I intelligent suspension system developed in conjunction with SRAM/RockShox, these machines are set to destroy trails regardless of whether you’re in the bike park, the Alps or your local run!

Heet Range

With over 30 Bosch-equipped electric Xduro models in the range, Haibike are streets (and mountains) ahead of the competition in the electric bike market. The Xduro models that led the way in e-mountain biking now see a new lower starting price whilst being joined by a range of incredible Generation 2 models, featuring a gravity-casting motor-interface and Sprocket Equalizing System, again pushing the integration of mountain bike and motor to the limit.

2014 also see’s Haibike’s first forays into mainland Europe’s new ‘Speed Pedelec’ category. On display Haibike will have the 45kph Xduro Race. The revolutionary bike stole the show at Eurobike (even impressing German Chancellor Angela Merkel), this incredible machine has to be seen to be believed.

From its road bike range Haibike continues its love affair with carbon, so much so that the new RX Pro Affair road frame pushes the weight boundary even further, tipping the scales at just 5.7kg. The Challenge models haven’t sat still either with upgraded specifications and graphics.

Haibike Electric, Mountain and Road bikes will be at stand L56 at the NEC Cycle Show from Thursday 26th until Sunday 30th September 2013.

Haibike rider Gillian Pratt wins Scottish Masters Championships

Scottish mountain biker Gillian Pratt was crowned Scottish Masters Champion for the second year running riding the superb Haibike Greed RC.

Explained Gillian:

“It was the final race of the season and it took us to Kirroughtree 7Stanes in Newton Stewart, which played host to the Scottish Championships and SXC final round 5, the series decider. We had all raced there before except this year was a completely different course which made it more exciting.

“On the Saturday me and my amazing Haibike Greed went out for practice. The course was full of technical up climbs, nice flowing fast single track with a few rocky steep descents to make it even more interesting. We loved it and couldn’t wait until race day.

“Race day came, I got registered and kitted up in my wonderful Leslie Bike Shop/Bikers Boutique kit and at 11am we were off!

“The Greed 29 RC flew effortlessly down the rocky descents, up the sharp steep hills, even the tight switch backs it handled not a problem, the bike is so light just zooms along in all terrain and was so fast rolling on the final long stretch of fire road, it really helped me battle on. 3 laps later we crossed the finish line in first place. I was Scottish Masters Champion Female for 2nd year and First in the SXC Series – double gold for Haibike, Leslie Bike Shop/Bikers Boutique and I.

“Was a brilliant atmosphere throughout the day with all my fellow team mates from Leslie Bike Shop/Bikers Boutique and my Haibike was receiving a lot of attention with everyone admiring it.

“Looking back now at my lap times, my Greed 29er gave me some of my best times, not only in my category but comparing them to the Elites was quite impressive and also beating a lot of the boys!!

I would like to thank Haibike for the support and once again for supplying me with such a fantastic bike.”
